Week 3-Got sick last Wednesday :-( Visited the Temple Tuesday :-)
¡Hola mi familia! El miercoles pasado empece a sentir enfermo. I have been pretty sick with a sore throat and stomach ache and im not really sure what to use besides ibuprofen so if you got an idea lemme know but otherwise its been great here! We got to go to the mexico city temple and do a session there which was really cool. It was completely in spanish but i understood most of it. The temple is really pretty and i have a bunch of cool pictures. But yeah me and my companion workout every day for about 45 min and its great! i got up to 140 pounds but lost it quickly when i got sick. Ive learned some pretty cool workouts here and i cant wait to show you them when i get back. Im also working on getting my vertical up and i can now duck a ping pong ball haha but yeah During gym time we usually work out for 45 min and then play for about 20 min usually volleyball or soccer or basketball. But last week we got some new people in our zone and one of them plays volley ball for stanford hes like 6´8 and he just smashes every ball so we are probably not gonna play as much volleyball now. During our studying our teacher was watching the byu game and was narrating it for us. It sucks that they lost but our teacher thinks that bronco is a terrible coach and thats why they lost haha. Yeah its hard to have spiritual experiences here in the mtc its basically all studying so i cant wait to go to the field.
Thats really cool that sky view is undefeated! Do you think they have a chance at state? I miss football quite a bit now haha but not as much as music this whole no music thing is hard. I would do anything to go to a twenty one pilots concert. I hope Doug is doing okay let him know i think hes one of the coolest guys i know!
Thanks for all the packages tho! The jerky is terrible but the donuts are good and the chocolate milks. Keep sending them! haha It really sucks being sick here especially cuz of the cold showers and terrible food oh yeah theres no hot water here which was to be expected i guess but its usually pretty hot outside so its not too bad. Alright i gots to go i will try and write more from now on im just a really slow typer haha but nothing too exciting happens at the mtc. Ight until next week! -Elder Spencer

Week 2 Rojo Poco- Cage Soccer
Thanks for all your guys emails! I really miss all of ya and hope you guys are doing okay. And yeah you should just do that scripture for the plaque it would be funny. But yeah the mtc is honestly really cool. Yesterday me and my companion decided to play some cage soccer with the latinos and some white boys and it was suuuuper fun. There were 8 people to a team and when they started I was the last person to be picked mainly because I was new and when we started it surprised me at how competitive they were. But anyways right when we started I got the ball for the first time and I kicked it as hard as i could and it hit the cage wall and bounced in the goal and it was super awesome and lucky. But anyways I ended up scoring all 4 of our goals that game. Our team won 4-1 and it was super fun. Cage soccer is like the main thing to do here during gym time and P day so they were alot of people standing around the court watching. Now all of the latinos call me rojo poco which means like little red or something which is a cool name but i am like bigger than all of the latinos but oh well haha. Anyways mi espanol es mucho mejor. All of the teachers only spanish so you learn it pretty quick. The food here still sucks and thanks for the gift the glazed donuts were really good. But tomorrow is Mexico Independence Day and apparently this place is gonna go crazy tonight but everynight here is crazy. All day and night you here gunshots and fireworks every like 5 min so tomorrow will be interesting. The weather has been great down here tho it hasnt rained during the day yet which is kinduv a bummer because i actually want to feel the rain cuz its so hot here. But yeah send me some pics of you guys when you do fun stuff! I will try and send some pics to everyone i just got an adapter thing so i can do it now i think. Well I will talk to guys next week! Week 1 MTC-Mexico
1 Nephi 2:15 15 And my father dwelt in a tent. That is the scripture that I want for my plaque but anyways the mtc in mexico is really fun. All of the teachers are locals and live in the city so they only speak spanish and it is difficult but not too bad. We only have 1 hour a day with a teacher and the rest of the day is just basically studying spanish. It is really teaching me alot of self discipline to work hard. I know more spanish than i thought i did and since I know the most spanish in my district i have to be the translator but it aint too bad. That is really cool that utah state and byu won though. There are alot of kids in my district that are going to Utah State surprisingly and many people here arent fans of byu haha. There is a samoan kid in my district and who is my roommate who weighs about 320 pounds that is playing utah state football when he gets back his name is darren johnson and he is really cool and he is always playing his ukele. My companion is Eric Durrant and he is a really tough lookin dude. He is a few inches shorter than me but is suuuper ripped and can do the chest dance that dad can do. He is from arizona and he is really cool. There are alot of natives here so it is really awesome talking to them and they are really friendly and nice. The mtc itself is crazy big and has a countless number of basketball courts and tennis courts. I havent found a person to play tennis with yet tho. The food here is terrible its not even mexican food like for example for breakfast this morning was tomato soup with hot dog pieces in it and a kid that was supposed to leave the mtc today threw up during breakfast and couldnt leave. Well me and my companion have been practicing teaching lessons to teachers who are disguised as fake investigators and its really good practice. Its not as hard as i thought it would be. I feel pretty confident to go out to the field already but I really want to leave this place mainly because of the food. A district in our branch left today to go serve back in the states and before they left they got our whole branch to sing the national anthem outside and it was really funny. While we were singing it we could here the mexicans outside the walls getting mad and shooting their guns which made it even funnier. Well Im out of time for today but goodluck to sarahs soccer team and i cant send pictures today because i have to buy a special usb thing from the store and its closed today. But thanks for your guys email and updates on sports! email me all of em peace fam

The MTC its self is pretty much like a college with a football field, basketball court, cafeteria, and a bunch of dorms. The place is awesome and I cant wait to start. I can email from now on only on P-Days. I just got here and the first thing they told us to do was send an email so I havent done anything yet other than look around. Cant wait to tell you about what i am doing! Until next week!
